HCG Weight Loss – An Important Breakthrough

If you have been looking for supplements to help you lose weight, then chances are that you've come across hundreds, if not thousands of offers, each one claiming to be the one and only you’ll ever need.

Needless to say, many of them can be labeled as scams seeing as how they seemingly work for a very small part of those that try them, and even then it’s doubtful these are actual customers leaving positive reviews. Quite recently though, a breakthrough has been made in the weight loss industry, and it has come to be known as human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG).

What is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin?

So what exactly are we talking about here? Well, it is a hormone which naturally occurs in the bodies of pregnant women for the purpose of helping them regulate their productions of estrogen and progesterone.

Dr. Simeons one day, somehow, decided to see what effect hCG would have on the bodies of people who weren't pregnant… and the discoveries he made were mind-blowing. As it happens, hCG acts on the person’s hypothalamus and suppresses their appetite in a very powerful manner, in addition to which it also accelerates the body’s metabolism and even forces it to dig into its own fat reserves in order to create energy, rather than the fat coming from the foods you eat.

Needless to say, after this discovery Dr. Simeons put together the hCG diet, and at first, it allowed people to eat no more than 500 calories per day, although the human body needs between 1500 and 2000 to maintain its state. As you can imagine, the diet took a lot of willpower and perseverance, but those who had gone through it were rewarded with dramatic weight losses, often going above 20, sometimes even 30 pounds.

The good news is that the concept of the hCG diet has been further developed by numerous people, and there are multiple diets you can follow today. The main difference between them is how many calories you are allowed to consume daily, with there being a diet of 750, 1000, 1200 and even 1500 calories per day. As you can probably guess, the higher the allowed calories consumption count is, the easier it will be to remain on the diet, but the longer it will take you to lose weight.

My personal recommendation is that if you are experiencing trouble with weight loss and need a push in the right direction, then perhaps you should look at giving an hCG diet a shot.

Don’t go for the 500 calorie one straight away... depending on how heavy you are, I recommend you start with the 1200 or 1500 calorie-diets and work your way down from there. It may be a hard road, but it’s one where the reward does outweigh the challenge.
