“The Melt Method” by Sue Hitzmann – A Holistic Program Based on Biology

For those out there who don’t know of her, Sue Hitzmann is a nationally-acclaimed manual therapist as well as educator who has helped countless patients find relief from their pains through natural and holistic ways.

What’s more, she actually dedicated part of her life to helping people change their way of living and adopt a healthier lifestyle. Part of her method consisted of publishing a book titled The MELT Method; it has received a considerable amount of positive feedback, and not without reason.

The techniques you choose to implement in any given day won’t even take up ten minutes of your time, nor will they leave you physically exhausted or anything of the sort; they will simply help you balance yourself and control your own body to heal and shield yourself. As it happens, the body has very powerful natural restorative properties, and Sue Hitzmann is only taking advantage of them.

Considering the overwhelming amount of people who have tried The MELT Method and have claimed their lives to have changed, I’m very inclined to believe that this book works (and that’s without taking into account Sue Hitzmann’s well-earned reputation). However, something needs to be made clear: while the techniques and exercises in this book can help you to get rid of your pains and balance your body, they aren't going to be enough to achieve good overall health.

In order to do that, you will also need to follow the book’s teachings, especially ones pertaining to making permanent changes to your lifestyle. The path to restoring yourself isn’t exactly easy, but in the end it can be one of the most rewarding things on this planet.

All in all, I can definitely recommend this book to anyone out there who doesn’t simply want to lose weight or build muscles, but actually become healthy and fit all-around with the purpose of preservation rather than vanity.

Back pain is a type of condition which I like to refer to as a parent condition, having many sons and daughters, with one of them being lower back pain.

Five Exercises to Help Relieve Wrist Pain

With everyone seemingly suffering from neck and back pains, it can be easy to forget that for some us, there is nothing worse than wrist pain. Our hands are wonderful instruments that we use on a daily basis, thus subjecting them to tons of wear and tear.

The good news is that there is are a few exercises out there you could perform to help alleviate the pain and strengthen your wrist so as to prevent it from setting in again.

The Basic Stretch


To start this exercise place your forearm on the table, face down, and have your wrist hanging away from the edge. Then, take your other hand, grasp your fingers, and slowly stretch your wrist upwards and downwards, repeating the motion about ten times. Subsequently, do the same thing from side to side ten times.

Say Your Prayers


For this exercise, clasp your hands together as if you were praying, only use your fingers to grip your opposite hands. Then, slowly extend your elbows outwards and bring your hands down, while still clasping them. Go slowly until you feel a good stretch, and then slowly bring your elbows down and your hands up. Do it ten to fifteen times.

The Tennis/Stress Ball Exercise


This one is quite simple, and all you need for it is either a tennis or a larger stress ball. Simply make a fist around it as much as you can, and then squeeze it as hard as possible without feeling pain, and then hold the position for five seconds. Repeat the entire process up to ten times.

Extended Arm Stretch


As its name implies, the exercise requires you to stretch your arms out forward as much as possible. Then, grab the fingers of one hand with the opposite one, and start stretching them down and back so that they are pointing to the floor and the palm of your wrist is pointing upwards.

After holding the position for fifteen to thirty seconds, stretch the fingers upwards towards the ceiling and pull back on them, with the palm of your wrist facing the ground. Hold the position for fifteen to thirty seconds and then repeat the process with the other hand.

The Rubber Band Stretch


Finally, this exercise will require you to have a rubber band, something you could probably buy at your local dollar store. In any case, you need to hold one of your hands face down and flat in front of you, placing the rubber band around your fingers and then clasping them into a fist. Slowly, you will need to open up your fingers and let the resistance band itself make your forearm muscles work. Once your fingers are completely open, hold the position for about twenty seconds, and repeat the process from ten to fifteen times.

These are only a few of the exercises you could do to provide yourself with some relief for your wrist pain, and there are plenty more out there you could find to provide yourself with some much-needed relief. If you are driving, take a stop every two to three hours to walk around a bit.

As you can see, there are plenty of things you can do to alleviate your pains during your travels, and perhaps even eliminate it from the equation. How DHT is Connected to Hair Loss

First of all, I’d like to mention that there isn’t one cause that will lead everyone to hair loss and baldness, so you shouldn't automatically assume that your condition is caused by something.

For instance, many believe that their hair loss is a result of poor genetics, when in reality, that is only half the problem, if even that.

DHT is a hormone found in the human body, and while it is found mostly in males, women also have it in a small quantity. As it happens, scientific studies have shown a direct link between DHT levels and hair loss, and so here is a look as to how the two are connected.

To start things off, it was found that DHT is directly affected by the amount of testosterone a body is capable of producing. The less testosterone the body produces, the higher the level of DHT becomes, blocking the growth of hair.

What of women? Well, it’s the same concept, but with estrogen instead of testosterone. All About Alopecia Areata

To hit the ground running, Alopecia Areata is a skin condition which can pretty much affect any area of your body where hair grows. Genetics


To get the obvious one out of the way, let us discuss genetics. Even though it isn’t the most common cause of hair loss, it does play a significant role in some cases. DHT


Perhaps the main cause of hair loss, DHT is a hormone which is mainly affected by the body’s testosterone levels. When it is produced in large amounts, DHT prevents the growth of hair, eventually leading to baldness.

Even though this is a male hormone, women also have a bit of it running through their veins, and those that have hair follicles sensitive to DHT can start losing hair just like men.

For men, an overproduction of DHT will lead to a baldness from the front through the crown, while for women the overall of their hair will become thinner. It is estimated that about one in every two people will have a problem with their DHT levels by their 50th birthday.

Bad Blood Circulation


In some cases, hair loss has been attributed to poor blood circulation, with certain studies having demonstrated that men who suffer from baldness have a poorer blood flow to their scalp than those who didn’t.
